I am excited to open the summer art fair season on Saturday, June 2 at the Riverwalk Market Fair in Northfield, MN. The fair is open 9-2 pm Saturdays June-October. My painting "Cocorico" was chosen as the official marketing poster this year and I'll have the original on display in my art tent. I'm an going to be working on a series of farm-inspired pieces over the next couple of months.
I am busy working on my displays and the overall appeal of my art tent. I want it to look more like a boutique this year, and I'll have more cards and prints to sell, including new illustrated choices. I am also striving to be as eco-friendly as possible and I still have a lot of work to do. By using yarn in place of plastic packaging for the cards, I've reduced unnecessary waste. Besides, they look like perfectly wrapped presents when I tie the yarn into a bow at the end. I am also printing on FSC sustainably-sourced paper.
